Christmas night

I had to share these pics. We are over at my parents for Christmas Dinner and Logan was being quite the brat. Love his face. He was mad he wasn't getting his way.

Christmas Eve

Every year, Ryan's Grandma Herren has a Mr and Mrs. Santa Claus come to see all the great grandkids. Here is a pic of all the kids (minus a couple who couldn't make it)
Logan with Santa. He did better then I thought.

Herren Family X-Mas party

For the past few years, we have been going over to Ryan's Mom's place a week before Christmas to exchange presents, that way we don't feel like we have to rush out of there.

Christmas Morning 2010

As usual, Logan was very spoiled this year from Santa. He got quite a few toys, his favorite being his cars and parking garage.

This was Logan's big gift from Santa, his parking garage. He loves it!!

Santa not only visited Logan, but our dog as well. :)

Logan's 2 year appointment

Logan had his 2 year appointment yesterday. My little preemie weighs 19 lbs. 9 oz. and is 32 inches tall. His doctor is still worried about his weight. I'm not at all. He doesn't realize how active Logan is (even though I have told him I don't know how many times). He burns off more calories then he takes in, but he's still healthy, just a skinny butt. Doctors can't just go completely off of the charts because every kid is different and develops differently. The one bit of news I wasn't expecting is Logan now has a heart murmur (which apparently it is common in preemies for some problems like this to show up later). We have an appointment with a cardiologist up at Primary Childrens on January 10 to see what is going on. Then 8 days later we have another appointment with his Urologist up there to see if we are officially done with surgeries. Whew! So if anyone needs a grand tour of Primary Children's give me a call. Ryan and I pretty much know where everything is now ;)

Logan's 2nd Birthday!!

Logan is 2 already! These two years have gone by fast. We had a lot of fun yesterday. Logan's big gift from us was a ball pit. He loves it! He was so mad at us Friday night (yes we let him open his gifts a day early) because it was bed time and he wasn't ready to leave that ball pit yet.

Saturday we had my immediate fam over and Ryan's immediate fam over, along with his Grandma and pa Holder. Logan had so much fun!

I made Logan a car cake for his B-Day! Not too bad for my first attempt.

Logan wasn't too sure about his cake. He hates getting his hands dirty. I love the last pic. Not a happy birthday boy! (the shirt I have him in is the same one he wore last year!!)

Happy early Birthday!

We went to the doctors yesterday to have Logan's catheter taken out. His doc said that everything looks really good and healed. As long as nothing happens between now and January 18 (Logan's next follow up appt.) NO MORE SURGERIES!!!!!!! Woo hoo! To celebrate (because Logan has been through so much hell) we gave him one of his birthday presents early. He didn't put those match box cars down all night. :) Thank you again for everyone's love and support while we have been going through this hell with our child for the past month (sure it's been longer, but the really yuckyness has been for the past month or so). We really appreciated it.

Special note: This does not mean of course that we are going to start popping out another child. We have to get our financial situation figured out first. :)

Stop asking me the same question!!

It's been a while since I've posted anything. People have often asked me "Why haven't you guys gotten pregnant yet with your second." Well, let me tell you why. We have too much going on with Logan right now. He still might have to have another surgery (we'll find out on Dec. 7 from his Urologist), and money wise we can't afford another one. I somewhat wish some would mind their own business when it comes to us having another child. We are the ones having to provide for the kid not everyone else. It is completely up to Ryan and I and right now, we don't feel that it would be fair to bring another child in this world and either have to ignore that one because Logan had to go through another surgery and I have to tend to his every needs or ignore Logan because the new baby needs me. Once we know that Logan is all fixed up and we get a few things paid off, darn rights we'll have another. If Logan is around 4 or so once the next one comes along, so be it.

Gee can ya tell I have some anger that I need to work through? Whew! I feel better now. :)
